Instead of being the wife that said, “what?!” I said, “so what!”

I keep thinking, “Oh my gosh…we’re doing this.” My love, the fella I fell for, is a wonderfully spontaneous man. It’s terrifying sometimes for me, being organized and orderly. However, it has made my life more magical than I ever thought possible…so it’s mostly worth the anxiety.

And today, today we had a moment that may be one of the most spontaneous yet.

We bought an ugly, old, short school bus.

Yep. Like I said, I just keep thinking, “oh my gosh, are we actually doing this?” I have a moment of bravery and think, “this is going to be awesome!” ….and then I look back at the bus. Oh boy.

I love projects. To a degree that I am often teased about. I love having so many things to do, so many new looks, so many things we’ve never tried. My poor husband is so patient and helpful (mostly), and from all of our work, has become quite the handyman.

And we’ve always talked about how a bus makeover is something we “could so do!” Pshfsh! What ambitious human beings we were.

And what ambitious human beings we will now have to be.

So, if you want a few laughs in your day, feel free to read along with us as we journey.

I’m not silly enough to think people really care that much, but I thought it would be a fun way to show people–go for it! Instead of saying “it’s not the right time,” “would we use it enough,” “I don’t know if we can do it” ….instead of all of those thoughts (that did, in fact, scream in my mind), say “so what?!”

So what if it doesn’t work out? So what if we loose money? So what if we fail?

What is the point of life without a little spontaneity?
